Ok! This should help neumerous people to get perfect quality videos.
If you have a video file, skip to section 4
1. To record a video off a tv, you need a DVD recorder. First, set your recorder to Super High Quality with a DVD-RW (note the minus) and record with a direct AV feed.
2. to get this video to an AVI file, get ImToo DVD Ripper. click "file: open" and select the dvd. select the chapter you want to convert, and look to the right. there is a little box saying "Same Quality = False" change that to true. go to the bottom of the window, and select DivX AVI.
3. Once it has converted, watch it. it should be pretty good quality. for a 4 min video, it will be 115Mb. too big.
4. it is a little known fact that youtube will infact let you upload .Flv files. this is the ticket. open up Adobe flash Video encoder, or some other program that will convert to .flv. on Adobe Flash, go into video options and select "high quality 700***" encode.
5. your file will be 25mb, with perfect quality! when you upload this to youtube, it wont need to be compressed, so it will be 100% perfect quality on youtube.
